So, what is downsizing and why is it important?

Whilst downsizing is often associated with the move from the ‘family home’ to something much smaller, the reality is that downsizing can be both useful and indeed essential for most people moving home.

So, you might indeed be downsizing home, moving to a smaller property, but you might also be moving for a whole host of reasons. Whatever your reason, any move is always a great opportunity to take stock and determine whether you really want to take it all with you.

Regardless of the size of the property you are moving into, moving home always represents a chance for a fresh start, to perhaps get rid of some of the ‘stuff’ you have collected along the way. An opportunity to de-clutter; to remove those items from the Shed, Loft and Garage that haven’t been touched for years.

Of course, sometimes downsizing is not a choice but a necessity, as five bedrooms rarely fit into two!

During our initial site visit, our downsizing experts will discuss your move with you to understand many factors that will be important to you. We will of course want to know all about your new home, so we can advise you accurately, but we also need to understand some perhaps more personal priorities.
